The old label vinery used had a blurry, long-exposure photo of the festival lights in different colors, I thought it was a good idea to grab a pen and draw some of the landmarks in vibrant colors, in a style that will look organized and clean yet maintain the \"carnival\" ambience of the overall design.
The client loved the label and it won the contest, so the Festival can start now as the wine is ready. :)")

The client asked for a product to be named as well, so I thought Speyside could be appropriate as the river Spey quietly flows by the famous Macallan distillery.")

The main title \"Run, Quail, Run\" is also handdrawn and it's based off of their logo typeface from the original label, as this is the 10th anniversary jubilee label.")

I knew I wasn't going to win this contest by veering off so far from what the client's brief described but I still did it, I drew a fox tail with his ears sticking out from the bottom part of the label. I liked it, submitted it in the contest. It didn't win but I think it's cute.")

The client wanted Times New Roman to be used for the product name, which worked quite well in this case.

I picked up my pen and drew a rose with thorns and seed, a simple drawing that can be a subject to endless discussions, complemented with repeating handwritten words from the title. The client told me \"this wasn't what I expected to see but I love it...\" Unfortunately - they chose somebody else's design but I' wuite fond of this one so - here it is.")

Client wanted a clean label with a play on their draft of a raccon/agave illustration, combined with rough and somewhat vintage typography.
They were happy with this design so it ended up being the contest winner.")
