We provide a type of data backup service that guarantees that our small business clients will never lose data due to ransomware or other catastrophic events.

Businesses are threatened by many online threats. The "scariest" one right now is "ransomware"...a type of virus that encrypts a business' data and holds it hostage, demanding a payment for its recovery. Our backup system is immune to this threat. We can make our clients literally "ransomproof" (but we use RansomPrüf in the brand). We don't expect people to use "ü" in the domain, so our domain is ransompruf.com without the umlaut. The domain may be worked into the logo potentially. The name "Ransom" and "Prüf" might be separated in the design if effective visually. The logo will be used as a graphic in social videos, tshirts, ball caps, etc..the simpler design, the better it will be to translate into these types of media. Added 10/23/19 at 8:36 am CST (US): Hello designers! Thanks for considering my contest. One thing that seems to be common theme so far is the use of the "cloud" motif. As I shared with one designer privately, I think the cloud is grossly over-done in modern media, especially in technology. The winning logo will convey trust and security, safety and "continuity" (as in, business continuity). It might also communicate/convey a fear/scary thing which we protect from. Just some thoughts to help you consider our concept. Something to consider is the emphasis of text (like bold, etc.) on Ransom. The emphasis should be on the Pruf if anywhere. We offer safety, security, assurance to the prospective client. Consider how this can be conveyed with not only the typology, but also the imagery/icons. I'm loving the creativeness of the submissions so far!! Thank you!! Added hopefully for clarity! We hope to represent many "safety" and "security" things to our prospective clients...online safety, business security, lifestyle assurance (if a business loses their data...their business is dead and so is ones livelihood!), business continuity, protection from the criminals, protection from hackers, protection from fire, theft...anything that can destroy the business data. NOt only do we make them "RansomPrüf" but also "Life-Prüf", "Accident-Prüf", "Theft-Prüf", "Fire-Prüf", etc. I don't want to "muddy the water" so to speak, but the feeling I hope someone can get from the logo is one of assurance that we'll keep them safe.
