xplace is a solution provider for digitisation at the Point of Sale. We provide all relevant technologies, like Digital Signage, electronic shelf labels, terminals for customer advice, feedback terminals etc. Our focus is on the customer - we want to create a better shopping experience in the store and bring some good features from online shopping - e.g. product reviews at the POS. To improve the effect of our digital instruments we develop a plattform named coco (=conversion control). The plattform should interlink all digital instruments in the store and connect it with data from ecommerce, erp- or crm-system or public data like weather. Collecting and merging analysis data on consumer behaviour allows us to identify in-store optimisation potential and provide recommendations for action. We use algorithms, artificial intelligence and machine learning to process the analysed data and then it return to the output media. One simple example: if 25 degrees are predicted, then ice advertising is automatically played on the InstoreTV and the price of ice is reduced. coco stands for "conversion control". The logo shall become an owl, because an owl has a panoramic view and can see in the dark. It alludes to the fact that retailers have so far hardly experienced what consumers are doing at the POS. While you can follow every click in the online shop, retailers have been groping in the dark so far. With the name coco and the motif of the owl, the very technical topic is to be emotionalised. The platform should get a name and a face, which get stuck (no very technical name and look).
