Brief description of contents: This book is a collection of over 1,000 short stories, thoughts and parables from the sermons of the famous preacher C. H. Spurgeon. These short texts are categorised according to content so that you can read themed spiritual impulses.

Who will read the book: The book is sold exclusively in German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and is intended to be adapted to this in terms of its basic design (not the American style!). The typical reader will be a long-time Christian, rather male and already aged 40+.

Paperback

The book will be published in softcover and hardcover. The price of 350 euros quoted here is for the softcover design only. I would like to pay an extra 100 euros for the additional hardcover. The book contains 416 pages in 6*9 inches (PDF from the Amazon cover calculator is attached to the briefing). I am looking for a design that speaks a clear visual language. It can be minimalistic but purposeful, so that the potential reader immediately recognises that this is an exceptional book with valuable content. In other words, what every publisher probably wants for a book cover ;). The briefing includes sample covers from the current book market in this area of Christian literature in Germany, which can be used as inspiration, but of course must not be copied or be too similar. The colour language should be serious, credible, but at the same time intriguing. Visual language: clear lines, simple, eye-catching, a 2D diamond is welcome, as the title is ‘Small Diamonds’.

What should be avoided at all costs is that the cover looks like an investment book, because it is not. So no gemstones as a photo. Please do not create a cover that only consists of 1 stock photo - I am happy about creativity and design skills! The font should not be too small and should be easy to read.
