Blendium got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Recycling and Junk website local to Chicago
Check out Blendium's Web page design contest…
Ecycler.com creates a new way to recycle by connecting people discarding recyclables with those wishing to collect them. Ecycler is the single web destination for recycling online. For traditional materials; such as, cans, bottles and newspapers, ecycler provides an alternative to the many U.S. (and Canadian) households, institutions and businesses that are not offered curb-side recycling. It’s also an option for people who have to pay for curb-side recycling or who want to have their recyclables picked up when and where they desire. For non-traditional materials (tennis balls, wine bottle corks, eyeglasses, et al.) ecycler offers the opportunity to recycle these items that are not usually recyclable via local recycling centers.
We are looking to create a new Landing page specific to and local to Chicago. This local service will be junk, large appliance and scrap metal pickup. A few features we'd like to have on the landing page: - Right from the landing page (step 1), we'd like to enable the site visitor to select the junk type (drop down box?) and to enter in their ZIP code. - YouTube video embedded - Better "Contact Us" information (link to existing contact form and add phone number) - Customer Reviews - Easy Three step: 1) Select your type of junk 2) Add details and images 3) Sit back and watch quotes come piling in... - "Why ecycler?" section with a "more" button - twitter feed @ChicagoJunk
No images of trucks or vehicles No images of trees or flowers We've uploaded a very crude idea (wireframe) of what we'd like to the landing page: "chicago.ecycler.com.01.png" We'd like to retain (keep) the existing header and footer, everything outside of the red "X": "retain-existing-framework.png" We are looking for simple and elegant. We are not afraid to use colors beyond our green and blue. This page is local to Chicago and its suburbs, some indication of this on the page is important. (Think Groupon) I've also uploaded "ecycler.junk.png". It is NOT necessary to use...
