Libretto is a word game that you play on your mobile phone. It's something like Scrabble, but not a clone. This game will appeal to anyone who loves word games, and we'll probably have more female players than male players.
This is not a children's game. It's on par with Words With Friends, and is fairly intellectual. Think chess, not Candy Land. Have a look at how Scrabble and Words With Friends are advertised for inspiration. That's the feeling I'm looking for.
You'll need to convey the game concept in just a few words and pictures. Here's some text from our official rules:
"Libretto is a word game for two players, known as the yellow player and the blue player. Players take turns placing lettered tiles of their color onto a game board to form words in standard crossword fashion. The goal of each player is to create a path of tiles that runs from one side of the board to the other: between the two yellow end zones for the yellow player, and between the two blue end zones for the blue player. The first player to complete such a path is the winner.
"Each player is positioned at the game board so that the end zones of their color are to their left and right. Thus, the players see the board from two different perspectives. Here is a depiction of a physical game board with a winning path for yellow:

"As shown, each player is provided with a rack upon which is placed an initial set of eight tiles of that player’s color. A player’s remaining tiles stay in a pouch (each player has their own) and are drawn out as required during the game.
"Libretto has similarities to other popular word games, but be prepared for a few differences!
"* Each player has their own set of tiles of uniform color. The words formed by a player are composed of that player's tiles exclusively, never a mix of yellow and blue tiles.
"* Words played to the board need not connect to previously played words.
"* There are no points in Libretto. A player wins not by outscoring their opponent but by making a winning path.
Obviously we don't want all this text on the website. This text is for you to understand a little about how the game works. Your job is to convey the spirit of the game in a compelling way. Don't worry if you get some of the gameplay wrong; we can fix that. What we want is something visually inspiring.
