Animal & Pet
Promotes our pet sitting/dog walking service and keeps our clients updated with information and current events. We want to target our current clients and attract new clients in our area.
Our website should utilize the same character of our current logo along with utilizing the colors. Not all colors are required to be used, but should be considered for secondary colors, where appropriate (such as links and buttons). The primary colors of green and blue that match our logo should be utilized for the stronger site design elements (such as header and footer). A minimalistic feel is appropriate for the website design, however, it should still convey the primary messages and navigation with an easy to understand user interface. The user experience on this page should be a top priority for providing the ability to browse, search and navigate through multiple means to ensure that all user types are being served a way to find what they are looking for. The site should be designed for a responsive nature, where the flow of the elements should be able to be setup for desktop, tablet and mobile phone as stacking elements at the mobile level. If there are any questions about this, please contact us. We want to have an attractive, professional website. The use of various animals that our company cares for should be considered as banner and call to action elements. For example, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, reptiles, and birds. Silhouettes, or images that go well with the logo could be utilized. We would like to see a simple, yet fluid website design, possibly utilizing full background colors or textures. Gradients are okay, but should be minimal for the color range change, due to differences on monitors. Typography should be kept to a sans-serif, similar to our logo typography. Web safe fonts should be utilized as much as possible.
Homepage- strong call to action for contacting us, upcoming events and the services that we offer. Th main banner area should be changeable for different promotional messages (services, upcoming holidays to reserve now, refer a friend specials). One of the biggest separating factors of our company is that we have the capability and expertise to care for special needs pets. Whether medical or behavioral, we have the knowledge and experience to work with all animals. Welcome message (written) should have a spot in the middle to the bottom area of the homepage for SEO purposes and to provide a brief overview for first time visitors to learn about our company. Our navigation is; home, about us, services, testimonials, contact us, news and events.
What to avoid
While the logo is a cartoon, we don't want the website to look too cartoonish or childish. It should be friendly and cute but still professional. The animals from the logo should not be viewed as having to be utilized throughout the design separately, in a banner would be fine, but not as elements on the page for different sections. Avoid the use of serif fonts.
Please ask for clarification if you are unsure. We are more than willing to provide additional ideas and general direction, however we want the designer to really be the creative spark for the new design of Dogs to Frogs.
