How FreeScan started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our website provides other website owners with a scanning tool that checks their site for cross site scripting vulnerabilities and sends them a report. Our target audience is any website owner, big or small.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
StopXSS.com is not live yet
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Red, black and white are the colors we are looking for. The text should be bold and professional, serious, and representing security.
The goal of our homepage is simply to lure customers into clicking the 'Start Free Scan' button and completing the information. Most links on the homepage will be coded to prompt a modal window rather than a new webpage. We will be responsible for coding all modal windows. The tab on the left should be an expanding tab once it is clicked to display the various social network feeds. The homepage will be broken down into 4 main sections:
The Header Section (containing the logo, slogan, start free scan link, and login link.
Main Content Section (containing the social network tab, header and video placement, 5 rotating quotes that cycle automatically but can also be chosen by clicking on one of the 5 dots, and the Start Free Scan red button.
Description Section (containing Header with a spot to add text with a read more link, and a graph we will place.
Footer Section (containing links: privacy statement, legal policies, login, start free scan, sitemap and web certification images)
Please see the attached wireframe image to get a good idea of content placement. Design and overall look is up to you, and these content modules can be moved around but must contain all the pieces places in the wireframe.
