How Kevyn1 started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
MonsterMoto is a new brand of low cost, high quality mini-bikes, pit bikes and go karts that will be sold thru "big-box" retailers like Sears, Walmart, etc. The site will need to serve multiple purposes - brand the products to the consumer, act as portal for consumer to buy parts, a directory for consumer to find repair shops close to them, informational on how to repair (via videos), password protected portal for repair shops to order specially priced parts and communicate with MonsterMoto, latest news and announcements, admin, etc.
The TARGET AUDIENCE is both the kids who will want the product (5-16 yrs old) AND the parents that will buy the product for them. See below for further detail
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Games & Recreational
no - just a splash page at MonsterMoto.com. This has logo on it - am happy to pass along a vector of logo to any designer that wants it
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Fun, tough, durable, family, safe, cool......not too dark, and not too kid oriented. These are real motor vehicles that are geared towards kids 5-16, but the site needs to appeal to their parents as well. Site should be contemporary without being too slick, eye catching without being overwheleming
TWO (2) Pages to start.....
HOME PAGE - room for up to 5 product pictures, social media connections, standard admin and a jumping off point to navigate thru rest of site (i.e. detailed product page for each SKU, ecommerce for sale or parts, access to directory of service centers, password protected access to parts inventory and communications for those Repair shop in the MonsterMoto network, how to become a repair shop partner, video instruction to repair yourself, FAQ's, contact us, etc.
INTERNAL PAGE - general design template for these internal pages. Once we choose winner, we will work with that designer 1 on 1 to finish out any tweaks to internal pages (e.g. a mapping functionality that shows repair shops closest to you when you put in your zipcode
What to avoid
1. plagiarizing competitors sites such as Motovox and Baja
2. Making the product look "too coll" to where a parent thinks it is dangerous
time is of the essence - we will pick somebody quickly and move towards designing whole site.
