adbrichacek got their new logo & social media pack by running a design contest:
Design a logo to help First Ask get women to run for office
Check out adbrichacek's Logo & social media pack contest…
We recruit progressive women to run for state and local offices. "First Ask" is a reference to the fact that most women need to be asked before they really consider running for office. We need to appeal to both women who are considering taking the leap and running for public office, and also to donors who want to support our cause.
We are a group of former Hillary Clinton Organizers and would like to incorporate the iconic arrow in a subtle tribute to the woman who's the reason why we're doing all this. Because it is not immediately clear from our name that we are a women run organization, reaching out to women, we'd like to to come across in the design. **Update** We are not looking for something with a question mark. We want our name to be more of a call to action than a question. The use of the venus sign is ok, but ideally we would like to communicate our mission in a more subtle way. I've made a pinterest board with logos of companies that we like and that we will be interacting with a lot. https://www.pinterest.com/annabrichacek/first-ask-inspiration/

And then… they selected a winner!
This design met the brief very well and conveyed the modern look we were seeking. The designer provided a number of variations to help us to decide on the final logo and responded quickly to requests for amendments.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
