How 50 States of Blue started their logo & social media pack journey
Who are you known as?
50 States of Blue
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a group of progressive political activists who use social media as a outlet to inform and encourage American voters to get excited about progressive politics, specifically the Democratic Party. The overarching goal of 50 States of Blue is to help elect democrats in all 50 US States, with a specific focus on the US Senate. At the moment, we use just Twitter and Facebook to get our message out and do not have a website. We do this as a hobby so it is not a business, no profit, but it still means a lot to us.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The vision we have is a simple yet modern map of the United States with the map and all 50 states outlined in blue. Or maybe just a cool looking outline of the map in blue. Again, we want this to be simple, start-up simple, yet also modern and fun (who says politics have to be boring). Not too masculine nor too feminine. A logo people of any gender or gender identification can enjoy. We also want it to be inclusive to all types of people. Another alternative thing that could be part of our logo is a donkey since that animal is the mascot for the Democratic Party. We do not want to use Red because that is the color used by Republicans, but multiple shades of blue could work.
