Full Nelson Brewing
Description of the product
Hi Designers! We are a brewery looking for a label for one of our beers. The two owners are getting married and will be canning this beer for their wedding. The name of the brewery is Full Nelson Brewing. The name of the beer is Nuptuale. This name comes from the word Nuptial which means relating to a wedding or to marriage, and Ale is a type of beer. The name of the brewery comes from both of our last names being Nelson, so there is a lot of hidden significance in the name of the beer and also the brewery. The package is a 12oz can and the dimensions of the label are 8 inches long by 3.75 inches high. The label will be matte. We will want to stay way from the edges by at least 1/16th of an inch with any key design elements as the labels can shift a bit during printing. I have attached a copy of our logo for you to use. We recently held a 99Designs competition for this and do not have much branding with the logo yet. If you have a good reason to use the same logo in a different arrangement, we would be open to that. Some thoughts on the can's logo: In a vertical orientation on the left side of the can, we would like the text: "GOVERNMENT WARNING:(1) According to the Surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. (2) Consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems." Below that, instead of a UPC code, we would like the QR code for our wedding website: http://www.fullnelson.wedding/. On the right side of the can we would like: "Our I Do Brew is a small token of our thanks for celebrating with us. This home brewed creation is a very approachable American IPA that we have won many awards with. We hope you enjoy Full Nelson Brewing's first packaged beer. Cheers to a lifetime of happiness and beer!" On the label, we want the name of the beer to be somewhat prominent (NuptuAle). We also want the size of the can (12oz) to be displayed. We would like the bitterness (65 IBUs) to be displayed. Finally, we would like the ABV (7.2%). As for the main design here are a few ideas. We are not overly committed to any of these, but wanted to give you some food for though to get started. We want to see variety and originality. - In the center, we have thought about potentially having us (Bride and Groom) in somewhat of a characture form. We do not want it to get too cartoon oriented, but we also do not want it to be too realistic. If you Google "Wedding Cake Topper", this is kind of the level of realism we are thinking. We would also be open to a more modern approach as well. - Our wedding is at a golf course, so you may be able to incorporate that into your design. Here is an idea to get started thinking: You may be able to put the two text sections into boxes that resemble golf course greens. We do not need all designs to incorporate this, but just a thought. - A prominent color on the label should be white, as this is a beer for a wedding. We are open to other colors as well though! We have attached two reference designs for layout purposes. We have also attached our logo for your use in this competition. We hope you have fun creating this!
Description of the product target audience
Aimed at wedding guests over 21. Wedding is a very classy, formal, black tie event. We can have a bit of fun with this design, but classy elements mixed in are preferred.

This designer was awesome! We made MANY rounds of changes and finally settled upon a design that I am very happy with. He was extremely willing to make changes and wanted to see us happy with the final result. Would absolutely love to work with this designer again!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
