diz got their new product label by running a design contest:
Create A Warm Design for a Yale Invented All Natural Baby Colic Treatment
Check out diz's Product label contest…
Description of the product
This is an All-Natural liquid dietary supplement that has been invented by a physician at Yale to lower acid reflux in infants, toddlers and children. Most people recognize the term colic but in most cases its acid reflux as babies have not fully developed the flap that keeps acid from splashing back up the esophagus, especially when they are lying down (thus babies stop crying when you pick them up).
Description of the product target audience
18-34 year old moms (and maybe moms-to-be) moms looking for a natural alternative to the medicines that are being overprescribed today.
For the front of the label I am looking for something that screams SERENITY NOW!!! Babies with colic scream and scream and keep everyone up at night. Something that looks like it will bring tranquility would be great. The other KEY is FAST. We called it Colic Gone because we wanted to emphasize how fast this works (within 10-15 minutes). The product is clinically proven to lower stomach acid quickly while also offering protection to little tummies while they heal up any damage that might have been done from the acid initially. The things on the shelf today use colors like blue, yellow and white. I'd like to stand out a little so it catches some eyes. We make the product at an FDA and NSF approved facility that is cGMP (these are important but you can use a multiple badge type strategy to get this somewhere on there). Clinically proven (to lower acid fast) would be good too. The products main ingredients are zinc salts and the product is patented. Physician-Designed. Gentle on tummies. Tastes Great. Free of dyes, alcohol. Should also include the word acid reflux as this is what is the cause of most colic.
What to avoid
No stock photos please. Pictures or icons of babies or something baby like (e.g. teddy bear) is OK. You can look at Colic Calm, Mommy's Bliss and Gripe Water as examples BUT we need to stand out and are NOT gripe water (which is just basically water and tea).
The box/bottle will be approximately 6"(H)x(3")x(3").
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their product label.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
diz collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
