What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a contemplative Bible storytelling podcast for elementary-aged children, and parents in the progressive Christian tradition looking to invite their children into thoughtful engagement with the Bible. We use storytelling, meditative contemplation, and wondering in each daily 12-15 minute episode.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We're looking for podcast cover art that is inviting to design-conscious, progressive Christian parents, who are the gatekeepers for their children's listening. Podcast art should be optimized for display in Apple's podcast listings (3000x3000 pixels, 72 dpi, RGB colorspace), and also look good in Stitcher, Spotify, etc.
This is a seasonal podcast, so we're looking for a design that can be repeated throughout seasons but with markers for each season. The first season will be called We Wonder: Advent. We're looking for a standard "We Wonder" podcast design, where "Advent" can be included (perhaps with a wreath around it?); next season, we can come back and swap out "Advent" for "Lent."
Ideal colorways would be complementary, like red and blue. We're drawn to illustration and typography; simple but bold designs; and something that will grab adult attention (because they'll be downloading the podcast for their kids!) while still being inviting for children.
The daily format of the (first) Advent season of this podcast includes an image each day that corresponds to the story. We already have artwork for the daily images, and I am including a few examples below so you can get a sense of the aesthetic.
