Bgreenetz got their new postcard, flyer or print by running a design contest:
Flyer needed for Christian immigration conference
Check out Bgreenetz's Postcard, flyer or print contest…
We are an educational institute, housed at a Christian Seminary, dedicated to the study of theology and culture. More about us: http://new-wineskins.org/about/purpose/
What's your vision?
We are hosting a conference on the subject of immigration and are asking you to design a flyer to promote the conference. The flyer will be used both as a traditional flyer (printed and hung up/handed out) and as a web-based promotional tool (included in electronic newsletters, on Facebook, on our website, etc.). Our conference will focus on helping Evangelical Christians become more sensitive to the issues surround immigration. We will deal with the legal debate but will spend the majority of our energy sharing stories and learning to identify with the struggles immigration raises. We will seek to have a respectfully balanced perspective, sharing stories both from immigrants and from US citizens who feel they have been negatively impacted by immigration. The flyer should appear relational - either in the form of something abstract that draws the viewer in or with an illustration of people (or something else you're creative enough to come up with!). It should not appear overly "Christian-y", but it should have some sort of hint of the church. Our audience is primarily Christian, about 60% students and 40% general public (mostly lay people and activists, some pastors). About 70% are between 18 - 40, with the rest being older. It will be an ethnically diverse crowd. Details the flyer should include: The words "Immigration Reformation" (that's the title of the event) Date of the conference "April 27" Our website "new-wineskins.org" These words too: "Presented by The Institute for the Theology of Culture: New Wine, New Wineskins of Multnomah Biblical Seminary at Multnomah University" Our logo (bloodsplotch) and our University's logo (small circle with a "M" - it's fine to splice off the "Multnomah" text just above the circle) (attached) See here for an example of how the "boring stuff" (mandatory logos and "presented by" info) can be incorporated: http://new-wineskins.org/wp-content
Here's some artwork we've used in the past to give you an idea of our look and feel: http://new-wineskins.org/events/2011/11/worship-2-0-culture-community-and-communication/ http://new-wineskins.org/events/2010/11/new-wine-benefit-dinner/ http://new-wineskins.org/events/2010/10/two-wailing-walls-and-the-peoples-of-promise/ http://new-wineskins.org/events/2010/04/owning-the-pond-together-developing-communities-through-entrepreneurship-2/ http://new-wineskins.org/events/2009/11/new-wine-new-wineskins-benefit-dinner-2/ http://new-wineskins.org/events/2007/10/boiling-point-a-conference-on-global-climate-change/
