What's your vision?
I require a sliding background image for my website. It needs to depict an Egyptian feel & design. I plan on incorporating the image as a wide sliding frame that then has areas that link to the breakdown of my business type into the following categories: Home page (about me and my business) / Services I offer / A portfolio area. I really just want the background image and i guess the overall image to show a strong Egyptian feel. My business name is Vizier: Meaning the pharaoh's most trusted adviser, Master of works for Egyptian royal monuments & resources..." Hence the need for the Egyptian feel. Ideally I see a nicely illustrated image with sand dunes in the background, Pyramids (being built?) (foreground & back) Oasis, Palm trees, camels, sphinx (or similar) and perhaps little critters that ocassionally run across the screen (scorpians/scarob etc). As the the user would manouver over certain sections (or screen slide left or right) you might enter into the Services section of the site that is depicted as a pharaoh holding his staff (looped stick?) or even some underground images so the user might scroll into a secret chamber as they navigate through the site? Perhaps the portfolio area is shown inside the window of those famous arc of the covenant type things? I'm open to suggestions but I think I've got the design feel and direction out there for you. As it is a scrolling type page navigation then I think the size best be 700px (h) x 4000px (wide). I think an illustrated flat tones is the best direction, not photographic.
The preferred image will be judged on how well I can add content to the certain areas of the image eg. Where i can add a link to show my companies services, or click on an area that will animate my portfolio images etc. If you would like to present additional imagery you feel would work with the site eg. the Scorpion/Scarab etc. that I can animate or utilise within the site. I don't want the site comical as professionals will be viewing it, but i don't want it too realistic or photographic.
