The QSL card should be 140x90mm in size, single sided. We don't like the typical QSL design which has a simple photo on the front. There are only so many sunset and pictures of antenna we can take! We would like a more historic card which is still stylish and sleek, with just one or two colors.
Here's two examples of ratherplain QSL cards, which has all the required information on them:
Here's another even simpler one (but which lacks information about grid, itu/cq zone):
This one has an additional field for "QSL via", which is important to us to have as well:
Here's a PDF with information about QSL cards in general:
The information that we need on the cards are as follows.
- Fields for:
-- Recipient callsign, "CONFIRMING QSO WITH.."
-- Time (UTC) and date (YEAR, MONTH, DAY)
-- Frequency MHz
-- 2x Mode
- A field for "QSL PSE TNX"
- Locator "JP73pb"
- CQ Zone: 14
- ITU Zone: 18
As said, we like some historical designs. But they need to be modernised. Here's what QSL cards used to look like:
The challenge here is to deliver a modern take on the historic QSL designs!
