Omiro got their new other art or illustration by running a design contest:
Create emoticons for Omiro

Our organization is designed to facilitate opinions on political issues through video analysis and comment streams.
What's your vision?
The intent for what we want is essentially an emoticon language. Since the emoticons will be used to comment on various videos that are posted on the site, there will be an opportunity for people to name them in various ways. Ideally I would like to see as many of the below list as you are willing to produce but especially at least the first 3 below. PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY DESCRIPTIONS LISTED BELOW OF HOW TO PORTRAY THE EMOTICONS ARE SIMPLY SUGGESTIONS ONLY. BE CREATIVE!!! I am looking for animated emoticons that show off your creativity. For that reason, I will not be providing any examples. From the best ones, I will want to contact you directly to do many more. 1. Greedy--possibly a fat cat with dollar signs for eyes 2. Potty Mouth 3. Good Point 4. fear-- cartoon turtle retracted into its shell 5. anger- red face with steam coming out of the ears 6. surprise- two hands on the cheeks of a face with the mouth wide open (think the movie Home Alone) 7. piety- two hands clasped in prayer 8. shame- face buried into two hands (maybe it could be Tiger Woods face) 9. give up- Both hands over the head (like when a gun is pointed at someone) 10. mean- pit bull dog snarling 11. save it!- bank vault 12. bleeding heart liberal- a simple heart shape with one drop coming off of it 13. academic- graduation cap and diploma scroll 14. crazy- wild eyes pointing in different directions with tongue out
Since these are going to be used for comments, we will now call them "Commenticons."

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Omiro collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
