Trim 16.5 inch wide x 10.875 inches high, with minimum 3/16 inch bleed on all outer sides – this translates to 3/16 inch extra bleed on the right trim, 3/16 inch extra bleed on the left trim, 3/16 inch extra on the upper trim and 3/16 inch extra on the lower trim.
(ad total minimum size with bleed dimensions – 16.875 w x 11.25 h)
Keep images and text away from outer trim line (no closer than .25 to trim line all four outer sides.)
Please keep text or images out of the gutter. The gutter (the center or middle of spread where cover 2 meets page 1) can account for 1/8 inch from both pages where they join.
If text is planned to run through the gutter (from left page to right page) it is recommended to use 20-point size or higher.
If an image is planned to run through the spread and gutter some overlap might be necessary. Our printer will adjust for this overlap, but certain graphical images might be more difficult to line up than others.
The thing to keep in mind is what goes through the gutter (the center of the spread). You don’t want text to get lost in the spine or an image to get cut abnormally either and then not line up. For instance, you wouldn’t put the face of a person through the gutter. It won’t line up well. But most continuous images, such as a property or landscape, etc. the printer can compensate for and the image would be continuous.
