People can access all material or create an account from web browser or mobile browser. They can listen to a station or choose a podcast episode to listen to. They browse through a list of radio station/podcast categories for what they want. They can add any to their favorites list.
Be sure to play with the current app from desktop and from phone. You'll see a lot of issues with the interface on mobile devices.
I recommend look at the following pages since they encompass most of the rest of the site.
Homepage desktop, homepage mobile,
Radio category list (http://staging.meek.co/radio/contemporary),
Radio station (http://staging.meek.co/radio/contem…tian-radio), and mobile at the same page.
Basically we are looking to upgrade the design to use more modern design styles and look better on mobile devices. Colors do not have to stay the same. We are looking for better ideas on user experience.
>> The categories for radio stations will not grow much as there are only so many categories.
>> The categories for podcasts can potentially grow quite large.
>> The number of podcasters in a given category can grow VERY large over time.
>> This HTML5 is to be transitioned to an app over time as well. So what we produce for the web app will also be how it functions as an actual app on tablet and on smartphone.
>> Shareability of content to social media is important to help attract visitors/subscribers over time. It doesnt need to be overwhelming, but it does need some attention.
>> Just so you know, ads are how we will make money. So integrating them in so that they arent annoying yet are still apparent is important to advertisers and us.
>> The design needs to be pretty flexible so that we can add more features in the future.
