Wacky Hen - pixel art for mobile game
Check out order s's App design contest…
Games & Recreational
A very simple iOS game where a hen is dropping eggs from above and the goal is to catch the falling eggs in a basket before they smash into the ground.
Retro-style feel with 8-bit pixel art like the console games from early 90's. Think Mario Bros and Flappy Bird in terms of graphics.
For examples of the style we want see: http://games.softpedia.com/progScreenshots/Super-Mario-Bros-Old-Remix-Screenshot-75861.html The game will be played in portrait mode. Main screen ======== The main screen should be a farm. Maybe there is a barnhouse and a haystack and some fields or hills. The Hen ====== At the top of the screen there is a hen sitting on a horizontal pole. The hen will move horizontally back and forth. The hen should be animated while running (two animation steps is fine). The hen should have a crazy look (inspiration: http://thumb7.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/265489/142762855/stock-vector-scared-cartoon-chicken-vector-illustration-with-simple-gradients-all-in-a-single-layer-142762855.jpg) Egg === The hen randomly drops an egg. We need the egg in two different colors: white and gold. We also need a smashed egg for when the egg hits the ground. Basket (the player) ============= At the bottom of the screen there is a basket of some sort that the player uses to catch the falling eggs. We also need the name of the game in some matching pixel style. This will be shown on top of the game scene before the game starts. An app icon in the same design style is also needed.
