shanekenny got their new app design by running a design contest:
Take Mobile App Prototype to the Next Level
Check out shanekenny's App design contest…
The app gives the user a daily Bible scripture reading each day they return to the app. By returning to the app over and over again they will eventually complete a read-through-the-Bible reading plan. Social interaction and gamification features will be utilized to increase user engagement.
I want to make sure that full use of the iOS 7 styling is used throughout the app. See the app prototype at: https://www.justinmind.com/usernote/tests/11045173/11045176/11045396/index.html to see the initial design concepts.
A working web-based prototype of the app is available at: https://www.justinmind.com/usernote/tests/11045173/11045176/11045396/index.html. The screens that I would like to see submissions for are: 1. The initial user login screen 2. The main scripture reading screen, including: multiple reading pages (like iBooks), display settings options menu, and allowing the user to select and create a "comment" on a verse or group of verses. 3. The Daily Bible Friends view 4. The My Comments view On the initial launch of the app the user will be prompted to login, create a new account, or connect with Facebook. Upon success, they will be taken to the reading plan with Day 1 of the reading plan loaded for reading. In the reader view the user can swipe left or right to turn the pages, tap to hide/show the menu and information, and select a verse or group of verses to make a note for. The "speech bubble" is used to denote whether or not any of the friends they are following with Daily Bible have made comments on that passage of scripture. Tapping the speech bubble will show the comments from the user's friends. Tapping the main menu button will display the app's main menu and allow the user to do any of the activities listed there. The Daily Bible Friends view will allow them to link their Facebook account (if not done in the login step) and pick from a list of Facebook friends that are also using Daily Bible to follow. The My Comments option on the main menu will allow the user to view and manage the comments they have made while using the Daily Bible app. When the user returns for Day 2 and beyond they will be taken straight to the reader view and they day's scripture reading will be loaded for them to read.
