srishtals got their new app design by running a design contest:
Doggo: Design a clean, sleek, gamified home screen, skills/level, and training page
Check out srishtals's App design contest…
Animal & Pet
Doggo is a mobile app that uses AI to help people train their dogs. It is intended first for new dog owners, but largely for anyone who wants to train their dog. Future 1-on-1 expected with our chosen designer as we go through user testing!
The goal is to be accessible and gamified, but still sleek and clean. The primary colors will be white and cyan (see logo for exact colors), but we are open to other color schemes and variations. If you have an alternate color scheme that we find compelling enough, we are willing to change the colors of the logo.
PLEASE FOCUS ON THE SCREENS THAT SAY DESIGN SCREEN! (some potential layouts are shown in the resource files, but please feel free to take creative license with this) Login Screen - This is the screen that someone sees when they open the app for the first time and sign-up/login. Sign-Up Page: This is the page a user fills out when they first create their account. It has basic information sections like name, email, phone number. Add-A-Dog Screen: This is the page that users will use when they add a new dog to their list. It will have basic dog information fields like Dog's name, breed, & age. (DESIGN SCREEN) Home Screen: This is the primary screen a user sees when they open the app. It should have the user's "trainer trophies", a picture of each of their dogs, a minimal overview of the dog's level and exp needed for next dog level, and a button (for each dog) that says "TRAIN." Somewhere on the screen should be icons or buttons for a sidebar menu as well as a training calendar. Please keep in mind that the average user will only have 1 to 2 dogs on this screen, so design accordingly. (DESIGN SCREEN) Dog Data Page: This is the detail view of the skills and training of an individual dog. It should show the level of the dog (and xp needed for next level), the 5 active skills that they are currently working on, and their "goal skills". It will also show their progress toward their goal skills and a growth chart of some sort. This page should also have a TRAIN button on it. (DESIGN SCREEN) Training Task Page: This is the page that will actually display each training task. It should have a button for, or room for a graphic animation. It will also have the task text (and possibly separate boxes for duration and location) and buttons for success or failure so that the trainer can tell us how they did. It should also have a countdown timer (icon or numbers, some sort of graphical representation is preferred) somewhere prominent with 10 minutes on it. Settings Pages: These pages will control different settings and be on a sidebar menu Training Calendar Page: This page will show the user's training calendar each day. It will let them move training slots around to best suit their schedule. The training calendar page will be represented by an icon somewhere on the home screen.
