What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the app?
Hi Uses the Android "Holo-Dark" theme. (Dark Background w/blue predominately blue accents.
I think DropBox is has a great example of a tour. https://www.dropbox.com/tour/
Also, if you have an Android and can try the actual app, I think that would provide you with some valuable insight to the knowledge gap I am attempting to bridge with this tutorial. Also, it would enable you to create your own screen shots if you choose.
Style idea. This is a routing app. So it might be interesting to have a route metaphor applied to the ward screens.
Route Planner Pro
I am looking for a startup Tour or Wizard. The design work needed is to present a tutorial for the core concepts that users need to understand to be successful with the app. For example, users need to know how to:
* Add Custom Locations to a Route
* Optimize a route
* Navigate stop to stop on a route.
What I am looking for most is creative design work which emanates from first hand usage of the app. So I don't want to be overly prescriptive about the design. The three things I mentioned above are just core concepts that I think need to be learned. These may not necessarily map 1:1 to each step. For example, adding location may take 2 screens, You may want the first screen to be a "What Is Road Warrior" screen similar to the Dropbox tour example. Also, I think the Dropbox tour is a good reference because it is both informative and explains the benefits of the app.
What to avoid
I am not looking for a redesign of my app. I am only looking for a simple Tour or Wizard screen with multiple steps. (e.g. https://www.dropbox.com/tour/) This usually is a single screen which walks users through multiple steps making it easier to consume complex process or ideas.
