Games & Recreational
Gamified online Auction App for children. This is like eBay for kids, to buy toys, books, games etc. They bid against other kids using virtual currency. All the usual auction house mechanics are needed, with a Buy it now, Buy / Sell etc.
This is an online auction house for kids. We are targeting ten year olds. We do not want the interface to mimic the standard , boring online auction tabular format, it has to be really fun, intuitive and visually appealing specifically so that kids can use this easily. Try not to make the screen too cluttered. Even though we're targeting kids, resist the temptation to fill every pixel of whitespace with "stuff". Minimalistic styles are good. Suggested font: Museo 700 or something similar Suggested colour palette: Predominantly white background, pastels.
The app is basically an eBay for kids. Children can browse categories of goods and see pictures and descriptions of items. They can bid on them or "buy it now". They can see Active items they have bidded on and recent purchases. The currency for the Auction House is Gold Coins, not Dollars.
What to avoid
This is to be designed specifically for the iPad Air. Do not waste time building designs for phones. This is an Auction app - not an online shopping basket. Make sure you have the button for placing a bid and the Time Remaining for each auction and you can see how many people are bidding against you.
