How ika.handaja started their app design journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Games & Recreational
Superhero Diary is a VR game that aims to help children with anxiety issues (especially for now, those in autistic spectrum) to develop basic skills needed to function better, specifically to:
- regulate and calm themselves independently, within agreed boundaries.
- organise their actions and/or movements more effectively.
- develop problem solving skill whilst maintaining gradually longer interaction with others.
To achieve those objectives, the children have to complete a set of tasks and trainings, which will be rewarded with "power" to play the VR game included in this app.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the app?
We are looking for a visually stunning but non-threatening style. The choice is to go with either mainstream style such as Fortnite, or the more artsy style in Alice in Wonderland sort of illustration. Aim high as we will be registering this app for awards including artistic achievement.
Update: We have not set an app logo yet. It will be determined by the tone of this main menu screen.
We are starting with the main menu screen to set the tone of the entire application (including the app logo/icon) with a possibility to continue as a 1 to 1 project.
The main menu should have a boy and a girl non-descript superheroes as well as: next task, daily task completion bar, power indicator, and the 4 action buttons to go into each module. Please see the attached file for details.
What to avoid
Avoid bright colours as they can be perceived as too much of stimulant for children with autism spectrum. See the colour palette in the attachment for details.
