paulmallett got their new logo & hosted website by running a design contest:
The power to create a better nation... Design a dynamic logo for a collaborative leader
Check out paulmallett's Logo & hosted website contest…
This is to increase public name recognition, for social change advocacy, and ultimately for political office. Logo is to represent and brand me as a thinker/leader/change manager/collaborator/legitimate candidate/future political representative. I take issues seriously, but I have capacity to laugh at my own imperfections and foibles. Target audience is anyone with ears and an inkling that we can create stronger more vibrant communities and better lives for all our citizens....voting public, adolescents soon to vote, decision makers, and media commentators.
Other color requirements
Red, deep purple, yellow, orange
Not committed to a slogan, but it might be something like: "Leadership for a better nation". Collaboration meaning co-commit (to do something); co-define (wisdom of the group to understand multiple perspectives); co-design solutions (engaging all including the marginalised), co-create and co-deliver (do it). Ideals that inspire me include: Innovation. Social progress. Equality. Social justice. Tolerance. Freedom. Hope. Compassion. Human rights. Liberty. Anti-poverty. Fairness. Non violence. Emotional intelligence Open communication. Social learning. Social responsibility. Democracy Growth and change. Safety. Loved and safe. Material basics. Learning. Participating/Social inclusion. Health and wellness. Positive sense of identity and culture. Knowledge capital. Social capital. Material Capital. Personal capital. Through collaborative processes I aim to improve people's everyday lives and encourage sustainable long term thinking. Frameworks of practice/logic models/theories that inspire me include: Cynefin (understanding interaction between simple, complicated, complex, and chaotic problems); Collective impact (Kania); Servant Leadership (Greenleaf); Sanctuary Model (Sandra Bloom et al); Appreciative inquiry; Three Horizons (Bill Sharpe); Concept of aggregated marginal gains (Brailsford); Four Capitals - model of citizenhood support (Williams); diffusion of innovation theory (Everett); social labs theory (Hassan); results based accountability (Friedman); critical social work theory (Fook, Ife et al); power of positive deviance; tactical urbanism. "Interdependent" candidate ... implying we must work together. Promoting/demonstrating a new style of politics is coming.... with heart, humour and a big hurry up.... Platform for how decisions can be made rather than simple ideas or slogans. Collaborative processes. Wisdom of group. Evidence. Social innovation. Design thinking. Implementation science. Artistically I have been inspired by fractal art (some are included in the attachments below). This is a self funded activity free from any existing political party, business lobby, church, or influence group.

It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo & hosted website.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
paulmallett collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
