kirkS got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Veterinarian "club" needs a new logo

Animal & Pet
Vet Alliance is a membership-based organization targeted at Veterinary Doctors who own their own veterinary clinics. Vet Alliance offers a series of benefits to its members that include: discounts on bulk purchases of supplies (such as pet food), continuing education courses that are unique to the industry, an annual conference, and a team of seasoned veterinary professionals who can help you improve your veterinary practice. In short, Vet Alliance is vets helping vets to empower their practice.
Other color requirements
Open to the use of blue but it's not a requirement.
Vet Alliance has been in business for 10 years (see vetalliance.ca), but it is now rebranding. *Nothing* from the current brand needs to be kept. The new logo should convey confidence and excitement; be fresh, optimistic, and a little bit youthful. (Animal references are encouraged but not required.) Here's a few competitors or related businesses: http://www.vetsurevet.com/ https://www.theveterinarycooperative.coop/ http://www.theveterinaryclub.com/ UPDATE: Please be sure that your logo speaks to the nature of the Vet Alliance business, which is a membership-based organization aimed at helping veterinarians empower other veterinarians. This is a professional vet-to-vet business, and not a public-facing animal hospital. Most of the logos that have been submitted so far could be mistaken for a veterinary *clinic*, where I would take my dog or cat when they are sick. If your submission logo looks like it could just as easily be for a clinic, then you're not telling the right story. The logo's "story" should be about (pick one): education, networking, connection, empowerment. Yes, these are abstract, and yes, this is hard to convey! :) But showing 2 or more animals, and/or a medical cross—even if they are all somehow visually intertwined—is probably the wrong approach. Please ensure that your logo design does NOT feel like a clinic's logo design; and please be prepared to explain how your logo design helps to tell the Vet Alliance story. I hope this helps!
