I launch a game that is similar to Poker, but caters to the affinity of financial markets professionals (traders, bankers, hedge fund mangers,...) to buying and selling. The game combines the nerve-testing, adrenalin-generating challenges of the trading floor with the fun and speed of Poker. Hence, my target audience are people from financial markets, i.e. a bit cynical, definitely love humour, very competitive, want to be challenged... just type 'trading pit' in google images and you get the drift. The second core target segment are students, business schools, universities, so there is a strong educative element in it as well.
The website/app will offer a poker like setting (check out screenshots in google search for 'pokerstars screen') but the game is a fun trading game where investors, traders, students from around the world meet, play, learn and compete, chat and connect. I would like to have a logo that captures this mix of fun, competition, learning (i.e. master) and community.
The name: The game is called Scalper (from scalping, see the attached briefing paper).
Although Scalper is technical term from the trading and investment world, I chose it to be intentionally bold and edgy. People not from the financial industry dont know what it means but will surely be intrigued and curious what is behind. On the other hand, the technical term provides me with enough buy-in and credibility from industry insiders.
