St. Bart's Church needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 197 designs submitted by 36 freelance designers.

We are a vibrant, inclusive church committed to welcoming all people and helping them know the love of God. We are located in an upper-middle class area of southern California.
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Greens: Growth, harmony and success.
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Let designers make suggestions:
We don't want any images with buildings, doves, stained glass, or open books.
We'd like to include a cross in the logo, but we want it to show that we are breaking from the traditional staid image of boring, static worship. We are looking for something with motion that can help portray our vision statement: "we are a radically welcoming, inclusive faith family--sharing and teaching the love of Jesus Christ through our worship, actions and outreach: transforming ourselves and the world."
Since our name is long, a horizontal layout will likely work best.
