NEW NOTES and PICTURES FOR FINALISTS:
1) The first 4: ART-STYLE reference pictures (of the hand with the martini glass, the jazz bar singer and band, the "wildsville shot of the couple, and the stewardess) are all within style we are looking for for the HUMAN figures, but haven't quite seen in any of the designs, yet.
2) The next 4: COMPOSITION reference. (i.e. one person on each side of the words "MIME CONTROL"):
a) person on the RIGHT: is in the "foreground" (meaning beside or
slightly covering the word "CONTROL"), is female, and is posing as if
she is presenting the title as a prize, like on a gameshow.
b) person on the LEFT: is in the "background" (meaning beside or
behind the word "MIME"), is male, and doing a funny (and poor)
imitation of the person on the right. He can EITHER be portrayed
as "confused and somewhat off-balance", or "confident, but
striking a similar but totally ignorant pose." (like striking a
"Saturday night fever" disco point.)
3) The last 2 are simply Spiral references. The ideal is to incorporate a "spiral/vortex, somewhere. Three possible locations: a) as one or both of the "O's" in the word "CONTROL", b) as a faint "watermark" behind the entire composition, or c) underneath the composition, so as to imply a spiral floor pattern that both people are standing on while they are performing. almost as if the floor is white with the spiral being projected onto the floor from an unseen spotlight.
4) The final picture is a hand-drawn sketch of all the components described above in one single picture.
We like the throwback, 50's style, simple color pallets, designed with people in them, like the ones attached.
The white box shape is shown in the final picture. Corked is our first game. Mime Control will be in a package just like this. Box is 3.5" tall x 10" wide. The tagline should go under the name like this too.
