The Light that Shines in darkness
Community & Non-Profit
ABOUT US Makma Foundation is a non-profitable organization which was formed as a reflection of stress and limitation of the poor and vulnerable (orphans, senior citizens, widows, disabled, Brilliant but needy students), hospitals and patients who need medical support and have public health related issues. The organization invests in strengthening individuals and communities through education and advocacy of Sustainable Development Goals and Healthy People Goal 2030 towards making positive scalable global impact. Link to our website: https://www.makmafoundation.org OUR TARGET AUDIENCE Our target audience is the orphans, homeless, widows, vulnerable, people with disability and communicable disease. OUR VALUES Our mission is to be the light that clearly shines forth into darkness of human depravity to bring about long-lasting solutions and smile amongst vulnerable in the community, especially the orphans.
Other color requirements
- NO dark colours (especially NO black or red)
STYLE - Sophisticated - Illustrative - Original - Colourful - Inspirational - Modern IDEAS As you can see from the visual inspiration here attached, we would like a sophisticated, authentic logo design, maybe with a pictogram of a tree or of all hands on deck, something representing our values and our organization. We would like you to feel inspired by our mission, our vision, our values. We would appreciate some creativity, some original ideas that are not copied from the visual inspiration here attached. We would like you to focus on the design brief. We realised we want Africa more prominently featured in the logo with a map of Africa, a family group, and some of our distinctive animals and tools (please see .word document attached). WHAT TO AVOID - NO generic design concepts - NO dark colours (especially NO black or red) - NO copies of visual inspiration here attached, as these should only serve as a reference to understand the design style we like and the ideas we may have - NO design concepts which don't follow the design brief Other notes - 08/14/2020 Information about the elements in my suggested design. 1. Colorful map of Africa - represents the entire continent of Africa, including nationals from all parts of the continent, represented by the national colors/flag of each country. 2. Family image - represents the community in each society and the cohesiveness and unity of the family unit. Families make up the community. This should be at the top of the design circle. 3. Stool - Symbolizes a welcoming and peaceful environment where all can come for refuge and sit within the culture. 4. Broom - Symbolizes cleanliness and health of the environment, including the spirit, mind, and body. 5. Animals - Symbolizes our natural habitat on which our survival depends. We must care for our natural habitat. Below is a summary of the logo design we envision. A circularly shaped logo with my organization's name (MakMa Foundation International, Inc.) at the top and my slogan (The Light that Shines in Darkness) at the bottom. In the middle of the circle should be placed the map surrounded by the all of the other elements with the family being at the northern top of the map, followed by the other elements around the map. Therefore, the map in the middle surrounded by the elements. Hopefully, this helps the designers get a head start.
