Logo types to explore
This logo has to work in many different styles and locations from a 3D sculptural sign on the farm-gate, to a website, business card, clothing, letter-head, table napkins and jar labels. The logo will be used in a collage style website design with a timeline and photography documenting what's happening on the farm, new recipes, etc. The artwork needs to be usable both in full-colour and monotone. The logo should appeal to a broad cross-section of people - families with kids who want a healthier lifestyle, environmentalists, people who live in the country, and those who live in the city and want to adopt these principles in their suburban garden. The Place of Wonder is in its early development phase. The owner initially intends to use the logo and supporting art work for the development of a combined website and blog, so that she can take people on her journey. The website will initially operate as an online journal with posts describing progress on the farm in terms of planning, soil improvement, crops, the introduction of animals, and practical advice on agricultural challenges and achievements. The location is country Australia in a cool temperate maritime zone near Port Campbell, a low-key seaside village on Victoria's famous Great Ocean Road. Although the client initially requires a logo, there will be a later requirement for a matching portfolio of designs including chickens, goats, pigs, various fruit and vegetables, a hen-house, gardening implements and horticultural ephemera. The owner prefers a simple illustrative style, although not cartoon-ish.
