dan.alger got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for Church Planting Conference

The Church: The Pillar and Foundation of the Truth
This is a logo for a conference on planting (starting) new churches. The organization is called Anglican 1000 (abbreviated A1K), the conference is called Summit 2013, and the theme for the conference is "The Church: The Pillar and Foundation of the Truth"
Logo types to explore
We would like to see a simple graphic that implies the "pillar and foundation" idea and the corporate name (Anglican 1000) and the conference theme below it. We like the clean, simple design design of the UNC logo attached, but free to add some more bold colors. We want something contemporary but not overly corporate. A phrase we use a lot is "ancient/future" meaning that we are bringing an ancient tradition into the modern world. IF it is possible to design something that reflects this aesthetic we would be pleased. This logo will be used on our printed material as well as incorporated into large banners that will be on the stage.
