Most recent note added to brief:
For all of you Watchers!!!
All my clients are therapists, so I am of course looking for a logo for
this company and am looking for great logos for a lot of other clients
as well. I hope that you'll throw your hat in the ring and if you do:
1. Please read the last creative direction regarding the correct copy
2. No trees. We are looking for something colorful, something more abstract, something more impressionistic.
The client is a psychotherapist who is warm and welcoming and also professional, trustworthy and experienced.
I would like to encourage you to please contribute your design.
--------------------Leslie is a psychotherapist who specializes in working with adult patients who have suffered trauma. She uses EMDR which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a psychotherapy treatment designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. For more info on EMDR see http://www.emdr.com/general-informa…-emdr.html.
Leslie is compassionate, authentic, down-to-earth, very skilled and experienced, warm and easy to connect to. Her core values are: authenticity, reliability, resilience, courage, generosity and insight. She uses humor a lot as a therapist with her clients and feels laughter is important to healing. She is very easy going and wants to take the shame and fear out of going to therapy.
We choose "Communications" and not "Medical/Pharmaceutical" as we do NOT want Leslie's private practice therapy logo to feel medical at all. We want it to be personal and warm and inviting and hopeful. Medical feels too cold and impersonal.
Our audience is women/men (more skewed towards woman) 30-55 who are having personal problems in their lives and need professional help. They have jobs and are in relationships but they are experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety. They look like everyone else on the outside, but internally they are in a lot of emotional pain. They want a therapist they can trust--someone they can relate to --someone smart, warm and experienced.
Leslie likes abstract and impressionistic designs. After seeing a lot of trees--she decided that she is not that interested in seeing more trees--the feeling that she wants to create is that as a therapist she is warm and welcoming and safe. Also the feeling is that she is professional, experienced and very good at what she does and that you can rely on her to be helpful.
Finally--she would like patients to think what she is different than other therapists--which means she is not stuffy or conservative--she can be unexpected--so have fun!
