Learnemy
Learnemy finds you instructors for anything you want to learn. Instructors use Learnemy to make a living by teaching what they like to do, like swimming, dancing, cooking etc.
Our target market is adults between 20 - 35years old who are curious about picking up new skills like cooking, knitting, swimming etc. They are located in the USA and have disposable income for learning (middle to high income).
Learnemy is made up of the combination of two words - LEARN and acadEMY. At first glance, 'Learnemy' may come across as 'Learning enemy' which sounds aggressive so the design of the logo should prevent that. Perhaps a way to do that is to use different colors for 'learn' and 'emy'?
For the logo, I want it to be simple, fresh and appealing with my target market. I like the fonts used by Udemy and Twitter. They don't look too straight and serious, and you can read it at one glance. A bad font is the one used by airbnb, it's difficult to read at first glance.
I would also like to have a cat mascot in the logo. The mascot should be cuddly. An example is the plancast penguin.
Here are some other references:
1. The posture of the grey cat and the sparkle in the eyes of the pink cat here: http://www.vectorjungle.com/wp-cont…3/cats.jpg
2. The shape of the head : http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thu…ziness.jpg
I'm open to other kinds of mascot.
Not a must to include our slogan, but if you are interested to include it's 'Now you can learn anything'.
