About us
LOGO/BRANDING: Do Something is an addictive laugh-out-loud social video charades and guessing game for friends! Do Something will be available for the iPhone/iPad/IPod Touch (4th gen). The game is similar to Draw Something, but instead of drawing out words, players act out words. We just won Startup Weekend Buffalo and already have top-tier VC commitment and need a logo/brand/color scheme that will drive the UI of the app. Demo and pitch of the app: http://bit.ly/Y1ddsN The app is almost complete. We are open to ALL ideas for the logo/brand, but have thought of some possible ideas: "DO" could be huge for the iPhone app icon with or without the "something" underneath it smaller. The "DO" might have a play button inside the D or O, and/or a record button inside the D or O. The "DO" might represent the eyes in a smiley face with "something" curved to look like a smile. Maybe the logo is an icon with "Do Something" using a typography. OUR UX: Our UI plans to have the video camera open at all times in the background, likely with a blur and then we will be placing elements floating over the video camera. WHAT'S NEEDED: - logo - iOS app icon - example of how the logo might appear within the app on a screen. We like simple logos. Obvious. Iconic.

We are on a tight deadline to get the logo/brand complete. We may stop this contest sooner than the end date. I will actively communicate which logos are bad or good. Come up with unique ideas -- sketches even at first, just to see if we click with anything, then I'll communicate that and you can spend more time on one.
