The iA Institute has deep expertise as a specialized information provider to professionals in the field of past due accounts receivable (ARM) across many industry sectors, including credit card, student loan, government, healthcare, utility, and more.
The business of ARM is complex. It's governed by both Federal and state law, with many regulators having rulemaking, supervisory, and enforcement authority. The industry is not a popular one; whether it's justified or not, nobody wants to be on the receiving end of a debt collector's call. Yet the existence of the collection function is critical to the health of our nation's economic engine.
Our mission is to re-frame the public conversation about the ARM industry in order to help reduce the bad press and frivolous lawsuits surrounding legitimate collection businesses. We'd like to change consumer perception that speaking with collectors should be avoided; rather that an open line of communication is the best way to resolve financial issues.
Our publications provide deep and actionable insight into the challenges of managing past due accounts; and through The Summit and The Consortium we provide a platform for the industry's large market participants to reach out to consumer advocates and regulators, to engage in meaningful and productive dialogue, to establish best practices, and to network.
