Our target audience is budget-minded travelers of all ages seeking independently owned small hotels, guesthouses, b and b’s, hostels, etc. that are original, fun, thoughtfully designed, welcoming. Our website does not include any big chain hotels.
We are looking for a logo that we can use on the banner of our website. We will also use the logo on the side panel of our blog, as well as a mini-icon throughout our website to indicate “Darn Good Digs”.
Please refer to these pages as examples:
http://www.darngooddigs.com/ (home page logo banner)
http://darngooddigs.com/blog/ (blog square logo)
http://www.darngooddigs.com/pacific.html (mini-icon example)
The logo should have an icon that relates to our theme of independent travel and extraordinary places to stay, and that we can use throughout the website representing “Darn Good Digs”. We currently use our bed and suitcase.
We are interested in different ways to present our company name. In particular, we would like to emphasize "Digs” in some way (for example, with a larger font size, by layering the “Darn” on top of the “Good”, with a different color, or some other way you can think of).
We know that we want to get rid of “for under US$150” that is currently on our banner. Also, we are not married to the other text, “out-a-sight inns for in the know travelers”. Please have the freedom to work it into your design if you want, or to leave it out completely. If you do work it in, we want to change the spelling to “outta sight inns for in the know travelers”.
Our current banner is 968 x 72 pixels (but height can change).
