My goal is to own and operate a successful bakery café serving the Haitian, Caribbean and African diaspora communities in Mercer County, New Jersey. At Café du Pain Bakery, a multicultural bakery, we serve diverse Haitian and Caribbean baked goods, like fresh-baked bread and pastries daily. We connect with our culture by baking delicious and healthy breads, pastries and cakes, feeding the community, teaching and sharing our craft and supporting the environment.
Cafe du Pain Bakery seeks to provide the varied and growing ethnic communities of the greater Mercer County area in New Jersey with authentic Haitian and Caribbean baked goods. By creating a Caribbean atmosphere through Haitian music, art and culture, our customers can have a culinary adventure as they enjoy traditional Haitian bread, chicken, beef and fish patties, cakes, peanuts, sesame and coconut brittle, sweet potato pudding bread, and much more. The special spices, ingredients and preparation methods provide a unique Caribbean flavor unmatched by any other bakery around. As an added benefit, we will promote and foster the community’s economic independence through job training in Caribbean Haitian culinary arts.
While our primary target audience will be Haitian, Caribbean and African diaspora, we anticipate that our delicious bread, pastries and treats will appeal and entice the larger community.
