“EPIC Club Crawl” is a completely new brand and we want to use this competition to design a fresh new logo.
We have a very clear vision and brief of what we are looking for with regard to the overall brand identity (described in detail below) and would like the logo to be able to fit within this context.
We are looking for a cool, modern interpretation of the brand identity developed by The Hacienda Nightclub (a seminal UK club from the late 80´s, early 90´s). Please Google images for “FAC 51 Hacienda” for numerous images and examples.
Specifically, we want to incorporate the diagonal lines throughout the brand which we feel is very eye catching especially when used in a combination of very overt and more subtle ways. We are open-minded to colours but feel that the combination of very bright with more muted shades works well.
An example of another company that has achieved something similar is “Gio Goi” (a clothing company associated with that period). We very much like their logo design. Some examples of their design language are attached for reference.
Another example that is close to what we are looking for is “Buel” and again we have attached some example of their design work.
Our target market:
Young, party people aged 18-30.
Cool, hip, not too corporate. Definitely no balloons, streamers or cheesy nightlife clip art.
A clever geometric design for the logo (that maybe plays on the diagonal stripes) that could be easily incorporated throughout the brand would be very interesting to see.
Emphasis should be given to the word “EPIC” with “Club Crawl” reading as a tag line. This is so that we can develop versions of the logo that read “EPIC Australia”, “EPIC Vegas”, “EPIC Apparel”etc
We don´t want to be too restrictive in the brief so as to restrict creativity in the designs.
We would be interested to work with the winning designer to develop the rest of the brand identity once the logo is complete.
