How bchong11 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Provocative political news website and magazine (think http://www.vice.com). Target audience is ages 20 - mid/late 30's, college-educated. Outside of that primary demographic we would like to appeal to as broad an audience as possible.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Here are some words we'd like the logo to embody: Serious, Refined but not pretentious, Welcoming/Inviting, Trustworthy, Cynical, Unique, Memorable, Mildly Confrontational, Provocative but also classic/timeless, confident, clean/modern.
We chose the word discoarse (as opposed to discourse) because we feel political news/rhetoric is coarse (rough, sometimes vulgar, etc.) If possible we'd like to have the pun be obvious in the logo so that people don't think we unintentionally misspelled the word (perhaps an american flag-esque design within the "a" in discoarse or the letters for coarse can appear differently - this is not mandatory for every design however).
We have no preference on all lower case, or all upper case.
