webteam x got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design challenge: Create a new church logo – traditional yet progressive
Check out webteam x's Logo design contest…
i. Trinity Episcopal Church was founded in Folsom in 1856. Renovated in 1985, the Church building is listed in the Historic American Building Survey. ii. Trinity Folsom is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California, which is part of the nationwide Episcopal Church of the USA, which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. We share God’s love for the world in and through Jesus Christ. We respect the dignity of every human being and welcome all on their journey of faith. iii. We welcome new members and we want our brand and logo to reflect this welcoming atmosphere and support our outreach to new members. We are a church dedicated to serving our community. Many of our members volunteer in our thrift store, participate in hospitality groups, and provide pastoral and Eucharistic (communion) ministries. The logo should also reflect the community support our outreach efforts provide. We are a liturgical (traditional) church with a modern and progressive view (future/forward-thinking).
Logo types to explore
We have included photos of the front of the Church including the Celtic cross at the top, as well as a photo of the plaque designating the Church building as listed in the Historic American Building Survey. The photos are meant to give designers a feel for the look and history of Trinity Folsom. The Celtic cross and Church building are important elements of our church identity, but are not required to be part of the logo. Also, we do not want to include an Episcopal shield as part of our logo. Our current website is http://www.trinityfolsom.org. It is undergoing an upgrade.
