How Mr Mallow started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
The Sycamore(s) at Mallow Run
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This is a wedding/banquet/conference facility in Indiana. It is loosely affiliated with Mallow Run Winery (mallowrun.com) (although we are not looking for a grape/wine connection in this logo). This will be a relatively high end facility catering to families and businesses in Central Indiana.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We are unsure of "The Sycamore" or "The Sycamores". Mature Sycamore trees surround the property, and more new sycamores are planned in the landscaping. The facility will be a somewhat more modern timber-frame building (not the "old barn" that our winery facility is). Natural wood & stone materials. Classic, country, yet refined. The "at Mallow Run" font should be relatively simple, and secondary. I think I envision a single tree as part of the logo, but we are open to other ideas. Sycamores are large, have white bark. We like branches, some individual leaves, asymmetry, probably a round shape or round component within, a border or edge to separate the logo from its surroundings. We like the "reverse" image of the Peach Tree attachment sample, but not sure how practical that is with printing, embroidery, etc. Fonts we have considered for "The Sycamore(s)": EMBLEMA, KAPTIVA, POIRET ONE, GATSBY....
