NSX needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 284 designs submitted by 67 freelance designers.
National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX)
National Stock Exchange of Australia is a regulated Australian Stock Exchange that lists companies on its market and offers investors the opportunity to buy and sell their shares. We focus mainly on commodity related companies (mining, energy and agriculture), but do list any company type such as industrial and manufacturing companies. We run a state of the art electronic trading system that brokers connect and enter client buy and sell orders. To date we have been seen as a small alternative stock exchange in Australia to the main equity market (http://www.asx.com) focused on small and medium sized businesses, but are re-branding and refocusing on mainly commodity related companies and not only small and medium sized businesses but also large sized listings. We now need a professional looking logo that says we are serious.
We are in the process of developing a new NSX website. However before we create the website we are looking for talented designers to provide new and exciting logo concepts.
The new logo should be striking, memorable, professional and offer clear NSX brand identification for brokers, advisers, companies and investors.
Our initial thoughts on colour have been red, however we are open to using other colours (except blue) and would encourage designers to "wow" us in this regard.
NSX's main competitor is the ASX (http://www.asx.com). We are seeking to clearly differentiate ourselves from the ASX and therefore we do not want to use blue.
Our current log is attached. As a requirement we must keep the "National Stock Exchange of Australia" text with the new logo. However the positioning, font, and colour can be changed.
The winning designer will also be in a favoured position with our next design competition for the new website.
