rosscorp got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a logo for Rohner Seeds to be used on our website and seed packets

We are a new business that sells plant seeds to home gardeners online. (Currently on ebay, but will have our own website next year) We will stock a wide variety of common and unusual bonsai, vegetable, herb and flower seeds. We aim to target home gardeners who garden for health, to save money and for the passion of growing something different. The logo will be used on our website and will be used on the top of our seed packets. We want something that will engage home gardeners, something with character that says we are knowledgeable, we know about gardening, we care about your well being. Think nurturing, organic, sustaining.
Logo types to explore
We have had a lot of entries to date. We now feel like we would like something that incorporates a drawing or symbol that compliments the text. Ideally this image could be placed above or to the left of text. It could also be used on its own to identify the brand. To get an idea of the type of business we are aiming to be, here are a couple of websites for you to reference: http://www.ingegnoli.it/ (Like the artwork with this logo) http://sustainableseedco.com/ (Really like the art work with this one) http://www.johnnyseeds.com/ (Simple, but good) http://diggers.com.au/ http://www.rareseeds.com/
