A winner was selected from 315 designs submitted by 97 freelance designers.
EcOnion
The EcOnion (pronounced eco-onion) is a new onion that will be grown using fewer pesticides and more environmentally friendly methods. The EcOnion is the first onion on the market that will highlight the more sustainable methods it uses for growing. It will be the first to market itself as a Non-GMO and sustainable onion. Target audience will be health-conscience grocery shoppers, primarily millennial age group in the U.S.
The logo needs to reflect the eco-friendly characteristics of the onion as well as be something that helps the consumer recognize the way EcOnion is to be pronounced and eye-catching. It is important that the consumer is drawn to the logo and knows the proper way to pronounce the product name. Possibly use an image of an onion as part of the logo. Must be shown as EcOnion not Eco-onion.
