Board
We're a board game cafe, where people of any age (primarily targeted at students, young professionals, and families) can come in and play a variety of games, and be served a selection of food and drink.
Picture a logo that could adorn an expensive wooden chess set; classic and sophisticated... however, you look a bit more closely and see the logo has an air of fun, friendliness, and youth to it. -- This is the logo we are looking for; something that avoids fashion trends and will last, but is also a bit more rounded, modern, and attractive to the internet generation of today.
We would like a logo that focuses on the type but also incorporates a picture, either a pictorial adjacent to the type, or incorporated into or around the type.
The picture aspect of the logo we'd like to be something board game related, preferably a game board with a few interesting elements on it (e.g. a track, scenery, etc.)
As we'll use this logo on our retail frontage, it cannot be vertically tall, but should be landscape orientation or, at most, equal in height and width.
I've attached some examples of popular board games that contain visual elements, plus I've created a few example logos I had in my own head… but I'd like to see some other artists' interpretations. :)
