wbaker got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Connected Energy Efficiency Forum
Check out wbaker's Logo design contest…
Hello- we are looking for a logo for the new Integrated Efficiency Forum that features a balance between natural gas (flames, pipes, blue) and electricity (lightning, plugs, power lines, green). There should also be an equal emphasis on Integrated and Efficiency in the text. Thank you, The logo should not have a house in it. note: the name of the forum has changed from "Connected" to "Integrated." The Integrated Efficiency Forum is a membership organization of large and small energy utilities, government agencies, energy equipment manufacturers, environmental organizations and consulting companies collaborating to advance a new form of energy efficiency in the 13 Midwestern states (Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan). The Forum is a new initiative of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) whose website is http://www.mwalliance.org This new form of energy efficiency involves the simultaneous monitoring, control and optimization of rooftop and internal building heating and air conditioning. and electrical power generation equipment, lighting, pumps, motors and manufacturing process in multiple buildings to reduce overall energy consumption of those end-uses. This is accomplished through the use of wireless sensors attached to this equipment and to these systems that monitor their energy use and feeds this information back into a centralized computer(s) that is also receiving real-time data about weather, building occupancy, hourly energy costs from utilities and other information so that the computer can figure out the best time for that equipment to be operating and then sends back signals to the equipment to ensure it is only operating when it should be operating. So, the entire system involves all of the equipment, computers, sensors and control systems mentioned that are all connected through direct wiring and wireless connections. The target audience for this Forums product and services include all of the organizations mentioned in the first paragraph above plus the folks this program will help - namely commercial building owners and operators, companies and universities with multiple buildings and building campuses, hospitals and large institutional operations, municipal and state government agencies managing water and waste-water treatment plants, traffic signal systems, power systems, district cooling and heating systems and community facilities and manufacturing companies with multiple facilities and a diverse array of machinery to power and to make more efficient. The Forum will figure out what technologies will need to be deployed in what settings and then it will raise public and private monies to demonstrate them in real-world applications. It will then measure the energy efficiency impact of these technologies and systems and promote broad awareness about them to build a market demand. Logo types to explore
It is about energy, big buildings, small buildings, tech and innovation. It should not contain a house. This is a Forum of utilities, energy services companies, equipment manufacturers, government agencies and environmental groups working to optimize the performance of energy efficient technologies in buildings, building complexes, communities and manufacturing process through the use of computer control and telecommunications systems = smart/wireless technologies This Forum is brand new and we want prospective members to join because this initiative expresses something that is cutting-edge, the future of things to come in energy efficiency/sustainability, an open process, a way to increase the economic competitiveness of their operations (by saving money on energy costs) and a place to network with similarly-minded individuals and organizations.
