Jhahn got their new logo design by running a design contest:
The CENTER for Austin's Future
Check out Jhahn's Logo design contest…
The Center for Austin's Future is a political organization established to train prospective candidates for office and support/fund candidates as they run for political office.
Our Purpose Statement The purpose of the Center for Austin’s Future is to identify, train and support future-minded candidates for local public office –– from school board to the state house. Future-minded candidates have the vision and integrity to advocate for long-range, long-lasting, difference-making policies capable of balancing our community’s needs. Our Mission The middle is missing in Austin politics. Extreme viewpoints, from the very liberal to the very conservative, have overtaken our local governing institutions – from the school board to the state house. The Center for Austin’s Future aims to fill the missing middle by cultivating candidates, supporting elections and inspiring voters to choose leaders capable of seeing, and managing our region toward a smarter future. The idea of The Center for Austin politics is that it is not right (conservative) or left (liberal) but centrist (the middle) where rational, reasonable people exist. A bright color palette is needed to express optimism about the future. We're also very data driven, so symbols depicting the use of data and analysis are appropriate. Think about ideas and images related to "The Center" -- Concentric circles -- The letter C to focus on the notion of "The Center" -- An abstract circle with an obvious center Please avoid complicated designs with multiple pieces are parts. Simple and striking is the key.
